| n-Propyl acetate has strong solubility to oil. It can dissolve almost all natural oil except palm oil. To combine with alcohol, the mixed solventĄ¯s solubility will be highly enhanced. For example, combined with ethanol, n-propyl acetate can dissolve phthalic acids, which are diffilcult to be dissolved by other common solvents. It is used as azeotrope in PTA production. |
